ALWAYS CHOOSE HARDWOOD FLOORING

Why would you choose to have laminate flooring when hardwood flooring is far more attractive and much more appropriate for your home in terms of durability, sustainability and by having a long life span? Although laminate flooring may be the cheaper alternative, it is by no means as good a quality as hardwood flooring and it often looks cheap too.

All hardwood flooring is made from solid pieces of wood. It is not made up of MDF and other wood cut offs like laminate flooring which is then covered with a wood effect top to make it appear like wooden flooring. Laminate flooring is also not as durable as hardwood flooring and will not last as long once it has been installed.

Hardwood flooring is a worthwhile investment for your home and you will need to consider carefully which rooms you are going to install it as well as what type of wood would be the most appropriate. There are different types of wood with different degrees of hardness which will need to be looked into so that you are choosing the right type of wood for the room. There is no point putting a soft wood in a room that gets a large amount of foot traffic as it will become damaged quickly, whereas a hard wood can withstand a large amount of traffic without being damaged.
