When you choose the wood for your hardwood flooring, you will need to remember that certain types of wood are harder and softer than others and this should be a factor when you are choosing the right flooring for you. You need harder types of wood in room where there is a lot of foot traffic such as hallways, kitchens and living rooms. Bedrooms and other rooms in the home are more suited for softer woods because you are not in the room all the time.

They will advise that you can vacuum, brush and mop your hardwood flooring in order to keep it clean. You should take care to mop up any spills as soon as they happen so that they do not stain or soak into the wood as this can cause damage to the hardwood flooring.
