Championship (Monday 29/08/08)

This championship was played at Waterlooville golf club. This is a challenging course with five par 5’s all over 500yds and features four ponds with a stream running through the course. The course measures 6602yds and has a par of 72. This was a 36 hole all pro event.

My first round was a case of grinding out a round where I wasn’t firing on all cylinders. I finished with a 75 which left me three over par and three shots off the leading score. I figured thast I would need to improve on my morning score by about five shots to stand a chance of winning the title. As it stands that would have been enough to clintch me the title but unfortunately i finished with another 75 which placed me in a tie for 4th. Close but no cigar!
